SMERATE is a powerful credit evaluation framework that simplifies and offers a more objective approach to the loan approval process. It integrates loan applications with risk scoring models and workflow to provide an efficient and retrievable way of loan approval process. With SMERATE, financial institutions can evaluate creditworthiness based on both quantitative and qualitative attributes, enabling them to assess corporate and retail customers effectively.

SMERATE offers multiple scoring models that are configured based on customer type, industry, or facility requested. These models are built seamlessly within SMERATE, and can be used for new customers, periodic evaluation of existing customers, or for assessing creditworthiness during loan applications. The scoring model is based on a questionnaire that assigns scores to questions based on the answer weights and question weights. The total score is then compared to existing customers, and the risk appetite for a bank is defined based on a score that is comfortable for the bank. Overall, SMERATE enables financial institutions to manage loan approvals efficiently and objectively while reducing process time for loan approval.
